TASTING AND CONSULTATION
Want to try our cake? Great! Pick out three cake flavors, two fillings, and two types of frosting to try. This is an awesome opportunity to build the cake of your dreams. No combination judgement here! Ready to make your consultation appointment? Since we’re a small bakery (it’s just me!), cake tastings need to be scheduled ahead of time. We would love to see you any time, Monday- Friday starting as soon as 10am at our private cake studio.
Fine print: Cake tastings are limited to 4 people. Tastings are $35.00 and pre-paid. If your order exceeds $400, 50% of the tasting fee will be applied back to the cake order. Most consultations last between 40 minutes to an hour.
To hold your date, weddings and large event orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance due two weeks before your event. We’re happy to help you budget with a 3-5 month payment plan… just let us know!
Celebration cakes and petite sweets must be paid in full upon placing order.
Payments taken: Personal Check, Venmo, or Cash
We understand life happens and you may need to cancel or postpone your order. Please let us know two weeks in advance if you need to cancel an order – you’ll receive a full refund. Orders cancelled one week out are given 50% refund or you may change the date of your order, pending availability. Any order cancelled the week-of will receive no refund and regardless of the cancellation date, the 50% deposit is always non-refundable.
We have a $50 delivery fee for locations inside the 610 loop. Any location outside of the 610 loop will incur an additional $1.50/per mile plus tolls, round trip, starting from the bakery (77055). Distances are determined using Google maps’ shortest route with tolls.
CAke Stand Rentals
Yes! We do rent cake stands – we have a large selection to suite any couple’s style. Our rentals are $35 each and a security deposit that will be returned in full once the cake stands are returned in the same condition. All stands must be returned within 4 days unless other arrangements have been made.
Working in the event industry has its perks! I have worked with dozens of vendors for birthdays, weddings, and corporate parties. Throughout the years I have made many friendors (friend + vendor) and learned a lot from them. I would love nothing more to share my list of preferred vendors for your wedding (think photographers, florists, event planners, and more!). Please reach out if you would like the list!
Wedding tradition says to save the top tier of your wedding cake, freeze it for a year, and eat it on your first anniversary. If the idea of eating year-old cake scares you, we’re with you! I am starting a new tradition: freshcake! All Whisk wedding clients are given the opportunity to pick up a complimentary, same flavor, 4" anniversary cake on their wedding month. Pretty sweet, huh?
Cakes are best to be eaten as soon as you can (because who can pass up cake?); but can be stored for up to four days in a refrigerator. If your cake contains a dairy product such as cream cheese, lemon cream, or chantilly cream, you MUST refrigerate the cake. I recommend placing the cake in a tightly sealed container.
Cookies keep for up to four days. For best results, place the cookies in an airtight container with a slice of bread; replacing it when it becomes hard. Brownies can last up to five days if placed in a refrigerator but can become slightly dry. No worries though, heat the brownies up and they are back to being soft and gooey chocolate! Dessert cups should be eaten within two days for freshness and stored in an airtight container in a refrigerator.
