TASTING AND CONSULTATION

Since our cake studio is closed to the public, all tastings and consultations are by appointment only. Cake consultations are throughout the week and can start as early as 10am. Tastings are $35.00 and pre-paid, limited to 4 people. If your order exceeds $400, 50% of  the tasting fee will be applied back to the cake order. Most consultations last between 40 minutes to an hour. You are able to sample 3 cakes, 2 frostings, and 2 fillings of your choice! Think of it as a deconstructive tasting - you make your own cake flavor! 

Payments 

Celebration cakes and petite sweet orders must be pre-paid in full.  Weddings or large events are given a payment plan: 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date and the remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your order date. If you're in need of a three to five month payment plan, please let us know.

CANCELLATION 

We understand life happens and you may need to cancel or postpone your order. We require two weeks notice to cancel an order and receive a full refund. Orders cancelled one week out are given 50% refund or you may change the date of your order. Any order cancelled the week of will receive no refund. Note that regardless of the cancellation date, the 50% deposit is always non-refundable. 

DeLIVERY 

There is a minimum delivery fee of $50 and this covers any location located within the 610 loop. If you're located outside the loop, the cost of delivery is $1.50/per mile, round-trip, between the event and the bakery (77055). The distance will be determined by the shortest route as calculated by Google maps with tolls.

CAke Stand Rentals

Whisk offers a large selection of cake stands for rent. Our rentals are $35 each. In addition to the rental fee, there is a security deposit that will be returned in full once the cake stands are returned in the same condition. All stands must be returned within 4 days unless other arrangements have been made.

Vendor RECOMMENDATIONS 

Working in the event industry has it's perks! I have worked with dozens of vendors for birthday's, weddings, and corporate parties. Throughout the years I have made many friendors (friend + vendor) and learned a lot from them. I would love nothing more to share my list of preferred vendors. Please reach out if you would like the list!

Anniversary cAKE

Wedding tradition is to save the top tier of your wedding cake, freeze it for a year, and eat it on your one year anniversary. For me, I would rather start a new tradition. It's called eat fresh cake! All Whisk wedding clients are given the opportunity to pick up a complimentary 4" anniversary cake on their wedding month. This way you can enjoy fresh cake on your first anniversary instead of freezer burn! 

Storing Tips

Cakes are best to be eaten within three to four days at room temperature. If your cake contains a dairy product, such a cream cheese - lemon cream - chantilly cream, you must refrigerate the cake.  I recommend placing the cake in a tightly sealed container or the to-go box and plastic wrap the box. Personally, I love heating my cake up and eating it with a glass of milk. 

Cookies can last up to four days. For best results, place the cookies in a air tight container with a slice of bread. Replace bread when it becomes hard. Brownies can last up to five days if placed in the fridge but understand they will become slightly dry. No worries though, heat the brownies up and they are back to gooey chocolate! Dessert cups should be eaten within two days for freshness. Please keep them refrigerated in a sealed container too.
