I'm Carla, the baker and owner of Whisk Bakery. I started Whisk on January 22, 2014 and it has become a fun-filled loved home bakery here in Houston, TX. I've been a foodie all my life and very good in the kitchen - both sweet and savory. I continued my love for food at the University of Houston and earned a Bachelor of Science in Catering Management. After graduation I worked at varies bakeries and restaurants, such as Crave Cupcakes, Common Bond, and Tiny's No. 5 to learn new pastry techniques. Two years later I decided to take my hospitality life to my own business, Whisk Bakery!
Whisk Bakery's custom cakes and desserts have been featured all around Houston, Texas. I've been featured in two of Houston’s premier bridal salons, BHLDN and Now & Forever Bridal Boutique. My desserts have also been published in several well known wedding blogs and magazines, such as Style Me Pretty, Southern Weddings, Brides of Houston, The Knot Texas, and Weddings in Houston. I just love being a part of someone's big day, birthday celebration, graduation, or even baby shower! As long as my sweets bring a smile to someone's face, then I'm happy baker.
